do you have the speaker icon near the clock? if so open that, check the volumes up and none are set to mute.

check the actual volumes up on the computer

go into start/control panel/sounds and audio devices/volume - does it say a device at the top? mine says c-media wave device if it doesnt youve lost it and will have to reinstall the drivers (youll need the soundcard or motherboard cd)

the sounds tab is where i test to check for sound when im fiddling

what aint there? the speaker icon? well do the start/control panel bit and theres an option to tick to put it there
you could try doing a system restore before the updates, windows updates do tend to mess working stuff up
thankyou almighty microshaft

Are you proposing to give a better service than the rest of the users of Computer and Tech chat? What are your qualifications? Are you bored?

Could you help with this?

This section (Computer and Tech chat) is where all forumers come for all types of technical help, they're not charged and they usually get a damn good service. I want to know what separates you from the rest of us that's all.
