Well, where is it?
How much does it cost?
What does it taste like?
(I want some)

The best I've had of late was from this place http://www.marrgrangefarmshop.co.uk/
Dry cured and very tasty.I think it was about £6.00/kg and there was no watery rubbish from it when I cooked it
Might be a bit far for you to travel though :-)

Go to your local butcher and tell him you want dry cured smoked bacon. then get some decent bread and have a sarnie fit for a king

I'm not sure if he's still there because last time we went in (just over 1 year ago) he said he wanted to retire. Anyhow:
Haywoods Butchers 25, Abbey Lane
IMHO the best butcher for bacon

Pearson and sons in Hillsboro' do a pretty decent dry cured smoked back bacon - it's not totally dry, but it's a damn sight better than your average rasher.

I can agree with that one, my parents live near, and i've been working nearby, their produce is fabulous.
We have a nearer farm shop at Dunston, on the north edge of Chesterfield, and i've never tasted meat stronger than the stuff they sell, the bacon is fabulous and thick and doesn't shrink when cooked. All of their other meats are similar, just pure meat with real flavour!!
