Swamp Circus and the Open Performance Centre are offering a nine day course in Community Leadership, Circus and performance Skills for people over the age of 18. The course will run from the 11th-19th August (9.30-4.30 each day) and on completion, you'll receive a Level 3 Qualification from the NOCN.

And because we've been awarded some funding from the Academy for Community Leadership, we're able to offer all this ABSOLUTLEY FREE!

It would be ideal for anybody who wants to:

- become an active member of their community (eg: by learning skills to enable them to give workshops themselves to younger people)

- learn more about local regeneration issues (we're hoping to link the final performance to regeneration and consultation, giving our learners an oppurtunity to speak out about things going on in their area.)

- develop such skills as confidence, public speaking and co-ordiantion.

- have fun learning a variety of circus skills from juggling to unicycling to stilt walking.

To find out more, why not attend one of our taster sessions in the following venues:

25th July - Broomhall Community Centre
3rd August - Verdon Street Recreation centre (Burngreave)
6th August - Handsworth Grange Drama Studio
7th August - Foxhill Forum (for parents to learn with their children)
9th August - Magna Centre.

Each session will take place from 9.30-4.30 with a one hour lunch break.

For more information or to enrol, call me, Sarah, on 01709 828447.
