Tallyman   10 #1 Posted July 14, 2007 Sorry for a dumb question, but are dogs allowed in the Botanical Gardens? I've had a look at their website but can't find any information about it.
 Share this content via...

JoeP Â Â 11 #5 Posted July 14, 2007 Not the last time I checked. Â There are very few 'pooch friendly' places in the city centre. Â Drunken, vomitting humans are OK, but not dogs and poop-scoops.
 Share this content via...

WallBuilder   10 #8 Posted July 14, 2007 I've been walking through and around the gardens for over twenty years and nearly always have my dog with me. I don't think I've ever seen any signs banning dogs and I'm sure I've been seen by plenty of the gardeners. The only thing I do try to do though is keep my dog on a lead. so he can't chase the squirrels which are very tame. Also as the gardens often have people in there eating food I don't particularily want Max joining in and scrounging food. I don't treat the place as an exercise area as within five minutes walk there is the old general cemetary where dogs can often be found off the lead
 Share this content via...
cgksheff   44 #9 Posted July 14, 2007 Not the last time I checked.  Where did you check?  Dogs ARE allowed in Sheffield Botanical Gardens and should be kept on a lead.  http://www.sheffield.gov.uk/EasySite/lib/serveDocument.asp?doc=90602&pgid=75321  http://www.nccpg.com/Default.Aspx?Page57.Aspx?Code=
 Share this content via...

Meaks   11 #11 Posted July 14, 2007 Of course dogs are allowed in the Botanical Gardens.  Unfortunately a very large proportion of dog owners have no idea about 'poop-scoops' - as we all know.
 Share this content via...
