MD = Managing Director aka boss!

Opps; I thought everyone would have known, then again I wasn't very clear about it in my original post!

The pressy cannot be jokey (although my office could do with a bit of humour lol) and I have no idea what a guy of that age or status would appreciate from his colleagues. So I would appreciate any help and serious suggestions

No :-( he doesnt smoke, I might check out the hip flask things but have to make sure he's not a ex alchy first lol. Don't want to recieve a P45 back!

I have found in the system some fab photo's of him doing the dad dance, lol, so will be compiling a wonderful masterpiece of these as the jokey side for him to remember.

How about sponsoring him an animal? I know somewhere that lets you do it for £10 a year and you get to pick the animal and get a laminate

If he likes a drink how about a good bottle (expensive) bottle of whisky, or cognac?

Buy him a tandom sky-dive?
Or failing that, book tokens?

You could also just ask his wife or close friends for ideas?

Yeh, I was going to say, if he is a sporty person. Maybe one of those outdoor experience vouchers. Ballooning, sky diving etc.

I was going to say, depending on what the amount is, maybe a watch? A limited edition pen? If he is a footie fan, then maybe a limited edition print of his football team ?

Or even buy a bottle of Old World Vintage red wine.

Sheffield Scene and the Millenium Gallery is worth checking out for local work by local craftsmen. If he is from Sheffield, maybe it's worth checking out too.

Yeah those outdoor experience vouchers are a really good idea. Maybe a driving one where you can drive round silverstone or something. Except they can be quote expensive so maybe you could club together as an office or wherever you work?
