Hi all,
Please read this thread before starting threads elsewhere in this section.
It will hopefully supply the answers to the most frequently asked questions, point to other threads of relevance and generally try and act as an 'Index' to the information / volunteer threads that have been set up in this section.
If someone wants something added to it, PM me.

BE A GOOD NEIGHBOUR
Watch for your neighbours - are they old? Are they disabled or in other ways possible vulnerable? If so, just check in with them.
(This also fits with what we've been suggesting about supporting our Council workers, police and emergency service workers by feeding, watering and warming any of them near you!)

Accommodation
All offers MUST go through the appropriate authorities.
As much as we truly appreciate your very kind and warm offers of hospitality for those who have lost their homes, in the most untenable of situations, it is truly with heartfelt regret that we are as unfortunately obliged to ask that you to contact the appropriate offices with your generous offers.
In the case of Sheffield this is, as we all well know, Sheffield Decent Homes
