Trying to summon up the courage to continue with a reasonably large cross-stich picture I am a quarter of the way through which ha 17 shades of green! I know it will be lovely, but it makes me so tired and the daylight has to be perfect or even with a daylight bulb my eyes give up after a short time.

Anyone got any ideas to encourage me?

Imagine the picture when finished, buy the frame or plan where it is going to go! I have to say I don't envy you all those greens! Do you have a picture you can show us?

lol I'd just posted a suggestion in the work in progress thread for you.

I'd never manage without my Pako Needle Organiser here

I'm rubbish with colours, but you basically thread all your needles up ready, ond off you go! its by far the best gadget I have!

Hi,

So how's your picture going? I can imagine what you feel like, I started a picture of 90 calours something like 3 1/2 years ago and many of them a almost alike. I haven't worked on it for months but sometimes I get it out and then decide to finish a determined part of it which helpes.

I also regularly take photos of the picture just to keep in mind how much I've already progressed and looking at them gives me the courage to continue a little bit more.

My problem is however that my picture won't look very pretty in the end. It's a pattern made of a drawing and the embroidery is much darker than the original.

Bye,
Rosi
