Dear all sheffield couples and other soon to be married couples outside of sheffield,
I would like to bring it to your attention the duties of wedding co ordinators attached to venues etc...
If you think that these inexperienced in house venue attached wedding co ordinators will ensure your entire wedding day runs without a hitch, sorry you have been mislead.
Why I am telling you this is because after 17 years as a professional wedding designer, planner and co ordinator I have seen numerous brides close to tears because they were mislead by the venue's co ordinator believing they would deal with every aspect of planning their wedding and ensuring it went to plan. Only this year in August I had a call from a bride because there was a problem with the wedding cake and photographer, they spoke with the venue and asked them if they could clear up the issues, but the venue wouldn't deal with the problems because the suppliers the couple had used were not recommended by the venue.
Also do you realise that each time you use the suppliers that your venue uses on a regular basis, pays the venue a huge payout of commission, so not only are they getting your cash for hiring the venue, but they are receiving a big wad of cash from that specific supplier.
We are different here at Your Wedding Angel, we pass those payouts of commission onto you the couple in the form of a discount, so you benefit from our expert high quality services, and get a great discount to boot. Not only that if the venue you choose is a venue we have previously dealt with we usually manage to negotiate a huge discount on the quoted price that they give you. And even if it isn't a venue we are familiar with, we can usually successfully negotiate a generous discount on your behalf with them, so you still benefit.
I am not saying that you should never trust all "In house co ordinators" but having an independant wedding panner is usually a lot safer, I work with many different wedding planners around the uk, and they will all tell you the same thing, don't rely on the in house co ordinator as they will not help you out with any issues that arise on your wedding day, unless they are either connected directly to the venue, or are one of their regular suppliers.
The benefits to employing an independant wedding planner are endless but the most important are:-
You have the freedom to choose a supplier based on their work, not just because the venue has used them millions of times before and give them a lovely big fat commission at the end of it.
You have the security and knowledge that should the car breakdown on the way to the church or you need the church or venue decorating to your perfection then it will be done, we can also provide unique and elegant decor as an additional service.
You obtain more discounts because we don't take any commission offered to us by any supplier, all we take is our fee!
You can use the services of a supplier that has been highly recommended to you either by a family member, friend, work colleague or other person you can trust, and if you don't have the details of a supplier that has come recommended to you, but don't want to use the venue's supplier we will do supplier searches for you and choose them based on merit rather than because we've used them before which means we pick suppliers appropriate to your budget and choice requirements rather than just because they provide that service.
We alwayscarry out standard checks ie, if they have disabled access that is easy for guests to use, their safety whether they are up to date or not, if you know that one of your guests has just had a baby we will check to see if they have adequate mother and baby facilities making it more comfortable for you and your guests. These are just a few of the standard 101 ammenities and safety checks that we always carry out as standard and included in our general fee.

Hi
I design wedding cakes for my clients. Usually they are from ideas that they would like to incorporate into their design eg, colour themes, decoration from their wedding dress or flowers from their bouquets. All the sugar flowers I make and airbrush/ colour dust to match colour swatches, which are then handed to a trained florist for wiring so they are perfectly put together.
I only take one cake for any given date as each one is delivered and set up at your venue by myself . I always think you will have enough to do the night before without worrying about fetching your cake or arranging for it to be put together by an inexperienced member of staff at your wedding reception.
I also have a range of cake stands which are always provided for use on the day and returned.I don't charge extra for the use of a stand or the service of delivery & set up.
I have found also that through consultation my clients are only being offered 2 flavours of sponges & fruit & their choices are extremely limited as to what they are able to have?? I make 7 different flavours of sponge(to date) & fruit and you can have every tier a different flavour if you want to-goes down a treat catering for different guests! With also having been a chef for more than 16 years if a special dietery requirement is needed then I can cater for it.

Hi everyone,
I have several years experience of doing Bridal Makeup using Virgin Vie products at very reasonable prices.
Bride £40
Adult Bridesmaids £20
Mothers £20
Teenage Bridesmaids £10
Child Bridesmaids £5
All of the above prices include a trial. I usaually do the trials at your home and then I travel to wherever you are getting ready on the day of the wedding. So do trips around town for you to worry about!!!
