I just made a simple alteration to my forum thingy, changed it so I can see signatures, and now when I hit the "View new posts" command I get this:

Before you can view new posts, you need to decide which forums you want to monitor. For example, if you are only here for sports, you can opt-in to only monitor the sports forums.

You need to click here pick the forums you wish to monitor.


Im clicking away like a loony but Im STILL getting the above message! What do I need to do to get the newest posts up when I hit the View new posts command?
I suspect its something simple and I just KNOW Im being gormless here.

Thanks in advance for any assistance/abuse/pleas for sex you may have to offer.

I think the option to select which sections of the forum from which you want to monitor new posts might have gone missing temporarily in last night's upgrade.

To drag it screaming back to roughly on topic - you know that your avatar is missing too? Do you still see it? I wondered if you'd inadvertently turned avatar display off (or does that only work for when you view others' avatars and signatures?).
