Hello Polish people

Some years ago, I worked in Hammersmith in London which, as you may know, has a well-established Polish population.

On one occasion I supported a woman with learning disabilities to go to her Polish grandma's funeral at the Polish church in Shepherd's Bush. During the service, they played some of the most beautiful and sad music I have ever heard. I can't really remember much about it, and thought it would be rude to ask at the funeral what the great music was. Does anyone have any idea where I might buy something like this music?

Thanks gabby, I think I will check out Lutoslawski. I've listened to a couple of samples on Amazon, and it's reminded me that the music at the funeral was probably more folk music than classical. Anyone got any ideas about that?

My dance teacher is Polish. Want me to ask him if he can recommend something?

Next time I see him, which might be next week I shall ask him for some recommendations.
