Does anyone work as a home help, Next year when my daughter starts full time school I would love to get a job that involves working with the elderly but as I have no qualifications in this field my abilities will be limited, I was thinking along the lines of, cooking, cleaning, ironing etc preferably in a nursing home as I do not drive and it would be difficult to get from house to house unless it was local, I live in S2 area. Any info would be appreciated thanks.

alot of the time they offer NVQ training as part of the job if you have no experience, but with not having a car that would be a major disadvantage..

You can do an online search for Jobcentre jobs:

If you search for care elderly Sheffield you should get some results.

There's a major shortage of home care at the moment, and I expect there'll be some recruitment going on in the not too distant future. I don't know how they recruit, but I imagine the job centre will be a good start, as Dozy says.
Good luck!
