When my P.M. box gets full, because we are only allowed 35, I delete the old ones to make room for others. Instead of deleting them can I transfer them to a Sub-Director on my hard disk? If so how? Thank you.

Um, there is an option to download all your PMs in one big text file.

Just put a tick in the box at the side of all the PM messages, and in the menu at the bottom click "download as text".

The export option is pretty well hidden, isn't it?

I use it a great deal - I have a directory full of PMs which I export daily from SF before deleting them.

The XML export is quite cool - I keep threatening to write a nice front end to archive and process them properly but haven't got my bottom in to gear yet.

Melthebell - I couldn't possibly comment.

How do you think I feel? I have a chunk of my hard disc full of PMs from people who hate me.

And some nice ones as well.

In fact you dont even need to do any of that; PMs are automatically sent out to your email address

Only if you configure them that way - which I don't.

I need to get off my backside and stop SF sending me e-mails everytime someone replies on a thread i've posted on. I think I have near thousands of them now lol
