Hi all, well a few weeks ago for no reason whatsoever the shutter on my digital camera just stopped opening and shutting properly, it would only close and open half way so all my pictures have a big dark patch half way across the photo, the rest of the camera works fine apart from this.

I took it to Jessops who said it would cost £100 to fix!! it cost £180 to buy new and annoyingly this was only March 2006 from amazon.co.uk.

Does any one know if i have any sort of rights about this, warranty wise, i cant find anything about a warranty in my box it came in but surely it isnt right for a camera to break after only 14 months!!!! and who should i contact would it be amazon or canon? or could i claim this on the insurance?

Help me!
