I can just about remember them but can't remember where they came from or how you got them.

I remember them. Some supermarkets gave them away; a set number per pound of groceries as I remember them.

The trip to the Green Shield shop when we'd saved enough for what we wanted was a big deal when we were kids.

Does anyone remember the Pink Shield stamps, which were the poor man's Green Shield stamps? I can't remember where we used to get them (probably with petrol), nor where we redeemed them.

We saved books of Green Shield Stamps in the 1960's...mostly given out, in our case at petrol stations.

I remember we cashed a few in for trivial things. We continued to save them for quite a few years. Eventually the scheme went bust. I think we still have about 6 full books of GS stamps up in our loft.....collectors items?

My late father, bless him, collected a few albums containing PG Tips Cards towards the end of his life He started doing so after a crippling stroke. He got pleasure from doing it. I have them here at our home, and truly treasure them...

They cost nothing, have little monetary value to others, but to me personally they mean a lot. Money isn't everything in this life.

Wasn't the Green Sheild stamp shop on the Moor ? I think when the Argos shop is now? ( time fades the memory ) remember that you had to take many books full just to get somthing small from green shield. Like shoeshine still have a couple of books in the loft ! does anyone know if thier worth anything?

In the early 70s I used to get Green Shield stamps from the Coop that was on Barber Road in Crookesmoor. Eventually I saved enough to get a set of green dessert bowls, and some green wine glasses, both of which I still have. It took AGES to fill a book of them.

My mother used to collect 'Kensitas' vouchers from her cigs, but that was the best part of 30 years ago. I think you may be thinking of 'Focus points' from about 15 or so years ago ........

I can remember my Dad giving us kids the job of licking them all and sticking them in the book. There was a shop in town where you could 'cash' them in for items. I think there was a catalogue of the items available.

I remember these, just, from being a kid. I have a better memory of Co-op "divi" stamps though, as my mum used to shop at the local Co-op. I remember you got them in two sizes, 5 and 40? It used to depend how much you spent.

Tesco might think the Clubcard was their idea, but the Co-op were doing the same thing well before.

I remember the cards from PG Tips too. Have they stopped doing those now?
