This weeks short midweek walk will again be up the Porter Valley starting as before at the statue at the entrance to Endcliffe Park at 6pm. The exact route of the walk to be detailed later, but will probably be for @ 4/5 miles, taking between 1 1/2 and 2 hours, and finish at a pub!
New walkers are especially welcome
Will any people who are hesitating about coming for the first time please note that we have had 1/2 a dozen new walkers in the last 2 weeks alone who have `taken the plunge`, enjoyed what they`ve seen, and now become regulars! See previous threads for details!

Aw, I'm going to miss this 'un again... I'm off to the Lakes for some serious walking.
Well, that's if wandering between pubs is classed as serious walking, and not just drinking
Have an ice cream for me chaps!

I think I'll be able to join you for this one. I can walk down to Endcliffe Park after work - provided I remember to take my boots to work

Did halfway but enjoyed the walk and I'll see everyone Sunday.
(I can't see a posting for Sundays Walk)
I'm pleased that I finished when I did because Robbie had had enough.
Like me, he's getting old.

Glad you got back safely,Albert.Poor little Robbie was tired out, wasn't he?
Another lovely walk through the woods.Further than the last walk through the valley, though.Quite tiring actually - three walks in five days - .
Lovely to meet tamarindl and Adelaide.
See you all on Sunday.

Would have liked to be on this walk, but Mr Godzilla is a bit 'clingly' these days and thinks I should be here to make his tea! I did manage a compromise and get him to take me out for a meal - threatened him with fish fingers and oven chips, and he decided that Julio's in Oughtibridge was a more civilized alternative. Will catch up with the walking group on a future occcasion.
