Welcome to Sheffield Forum!

The Harley is a pub with rooms to rent that's about a mile or so away.

A friend of mine stayed there recently, and the rooms were okay, and very reasonably priced.

I hope your son's treatment is successful and goes as well as possible.

Contact the hospital, directly about this, johnna... my nephew has had to undergo extensive treatment(s) at SCH, involving lengthy stays there.... there is a special suite of rooms at the hospital that parents can stay in, my sister stayed in them quite a few times, over the course of my nephew's treatments.

all the best with your lad's treatment, BTW!

Hi Novocastrians From Thomson's, I can see Martin's Guest House 0114-2308588, 397 Fulwood Road (Broomhill) area, which is reasonably close. Don't know what it's like as I am local to area but would be convenient for hospitals with several good buses.

Are they not at the Childrens Hospital as opposed to Weston Park where the O/P's son is going.

The Rutland Hotel is very near there and I believe they do a special rate for people with relatives in hospital.

The Etruria House Hotel is on Crookes Road:

But I would also suggest checking with the hospital as I think they keep a list of accommodation.

Etruria Guest House, 91 Crookes Rd, Sheffield, S. Yorkshire, S10 5BD Map
Telephone: 0114 2662241 Fax: 0114 2670853
E-mail: etruria@waitrose.com

This is in the Broomhill area with a bus stop across the road (52 route) and three stops to WPH. This guest house has been here for years so I guess it's a nice place to stay. From knowledge of area, would say it's most convenient.

0114 221 1900 is the telephone number for tourist information. They keep a list of hotels and am sure would be able to help you. Their website is here. There's also this link is a pdf brochure listing hotels for visitors to Sheffield University, which is practically next door to Weston Park hospital, so you may find some info on there.

sorry, hen, I misunderstood, I assumed your son was much younger, as you were accompanying him. the rutland probably sounds good if they are offering a special rate for folk at the hospitals.

My good wishes still stand, BTW
