When I renewed my car insurance I had to tell them I had 3pts on my licence (speed camera). She took the details and said "Oh don't worry, I rarely speak to anyone these days who hasn't points"
Is that true? How many of us on here do have points, and if so.. how many?
Sorry to be nosey!!

Three but they are due to come off this in July. Got them at Howden when on way to a funeral in Bridlington!! Van hidden at side of road - didn't even know I'd been clocked until received summons.

I drove for ten years and never had any points awarded to me.
Mainly because like Saxon, I was never caught!

Been driving since 1989 and have avoided any so far.
I have to say that I've not driven in the last 15 months, and I get teh feeling that the powers that be are much keener now.

Just like to point out that Jabber is referring to saxon51, the plonker, as opposed to Saxon, the driving instructor.

Never had any- which is a bloomin miracle, bearing in mind I was a rep for nearly 10 years and did 50,000 business miles a year.

Oh dear me. Confession time on SF!
I've fairly recently got 3 points for speeding.
A camera clocked me doing 36 in a 30mph area. I was in an unfamiliar area of North Wales. I'd driven through the built up area, and there were no houses in the locality, or even people about. It was the end of November, dusk, and it was raining.
I've never in over 30 years of driving been done for speeding. But, no excuses, I was speeding.
Note: The car is registered to my partner nobikejohn, so he initially received the fixed penalty notice. Although I claimed I couldn't possibly have been the driver at the time the offence was committed.........he didn't let me off either!

One conviction for speeding 10 years ago - doing 98 mph on the A449 going into Wales (straight, slightly downhill, clear day, little traffic). The motorbike cop was dead sympathetic seeing as I'd spotted him in my rear view mirror the second he joined the dual carriageway and I'd nearly got down to 70 in the minimum distance he had to clock me to get a result.

And his reason for being sympathetic was that he could give you 3 points for breaking the law was it? No sympathy here I'm afraid (No points here by the way )
