The new regs come in April 1st - my question is does the EDD (Expected date of delivery) have to be >1st April for you to qualify or is it the actual birth date?
I ask because my sisters employer told her its the DOB but someone else has told me it its only the EDD.
Would hate to think shes being turn over.

the government website says its based on the due date not the actual birth date - so if someone gave birth now, prematurely, they'd still be entitled to the full 39 weeks not the current 26 weeks.
