Hi chaps,

Following the amazing success of the Sheffield Forum regulars solving the last one in no time at all - I'd like to challenge you all again..

Here's a picture from The Full Monty

http://www.montymania.co.uk/i/fm91.jpg

In the movie the lads are flyposting the side of what looks like a pub/club/cinema type building.

It's definitely not Idsworth Road carpet shop and I don't think it's shiregreen WMC (although could be wrong on that)

Note also the lamp post behind that indicates it's probably on a main road too ?

And you never really get to see any more of the place

So anyone able to solve this one ??

Looks like the building on the left as you go through wicker arches up to pitsmoor.I think it was a door store years ago.

I've just captured a couple more from this sequence..

In the movie they are actually talking to some girls on Daffodil Road, but it's camera trickery as far as I can tell so this means that this place is somewhere else ?

Looking at the new pics I would say that the lads are down the left hand side of a hall/bingohall/cinema type building - and there's a small carpark to the front ?

It also looks to be in the middle of housing

There also looks to be a curved blue front above the front doors of the building..

So the notice board is next to the gas holder at Neepsend ... in the film??

But wouldn't that have just been put up for the film and then taken away again?

That's the noticeboard pic
I'm sure that pic is of the gasometers, at the bottom of wincobank, (despite saying "burnbank" on the notice board)

Burnbank is Burngreave/Pyebank area. This noticeboard looks like the one near the bus stop on Spital Hill on the way to town.I know this cos my bus stops there and It took me about 4 years to figure out what Burnbank meant. Also there is the gas cylinder nearby.

There is a big gas tower type thing near the notice board and a building with a fany roof line between the tower and the notice board (as if the notice board is slighty higher up.

that tower thing should narrow the notice board picture down.

I just looked on google earth at fife street and nothing looks like it., the only tower thing i know is at the back of infirmary road. google earth it and see what you thing but although you can see the tower (big round thing) on google earth I cant see the building with the nice roof pattern.

mixed answers coming through on this one then..

I just thought - could this be somewhere around upperthorpe (daniel hill street area) ?

The reason I ask is the housing in the bottom front of the picture - could be the housing that replaced Kelvin Flats ?

Also the tower thing - there's one nr penistone road area

And the hill in the background - could be shiregreen/ski village ?

*thanks for all your help by the way - it's much appreciated*
