I'm sorry for you. What area is it? I will keep an ear out in case they try to sell them on if it's round here. They can't leave anything alone these days.

I am sorry about this, it upsets you for the rest of the day. Those kids car seats are expensive.

Yeah and worth nothing to sell on due to the safety rule stating second hand car seats are a no-no, although the scum that stole them probably know pregnant scum to sell them on to so sorry to hear that.

I can't believe it child seats, if its not bad enough stealing radio's and sat nav but child seats. Its not something you would expect someone not to see some yob with child seats under his/her arms. What next the pink fluffy pillows from the back window, lets hope someone spots these scumbags.

Howd they take a wingmirror without getting in the car?
Knocked off I could understand but surely its impossible to steal one without getting in the car and unscrewing it!

I've no sympathy...
If you will insist on leaving items on display in an unattended vehicle like wipers, mirrors, seats and the steering wheel, you've only yourself to blame...
Pity the poor souls who because of abject poverty and hence the inability to afford the next 'fix', are forced to prowl the streets looking for any opportunity to lift themselves out of their misery... They're forced to commit crimes such as these by circumstances, regardless of the risk of incurring horrendous penalties if apprehended... Such as a severe telling-off or a few hours community service... These are the ones we should (and evidently do!) have sympathy for... Not the motorist whose vehicle is robbed, vandalised or stolen.
After all "They're covered by insurance anyway..."
Can't help thinking that re-introducing the stocks and providing free rotten fruit and vegetables to all passers-by might deter one or two... maybe... It'd certainly be more satisfying to the victim of the crime than the present system!

I have often been tempted to leave a sprung rat trap in the glove compartment to give a nasty surprise to anyone who broke in. But knowing my luck I would forget what I had done and end up with my own fingers in the trap.
It's just life as it has sadly become, all that you can do is to ensure that your kids grow up to be honest and trustworthy.

Sorry to hear about your car, but until people start bombarding our elected representatives with honest opinions about the state of the legal system now, this will only get worse.
Acquisitive criminals commit offences because there's no real deterrent. Not enough prisons, not enough use of deterrent sentences, and too much hand wringing and cosying around with the vermin that prey on the good people in society.
The fear factor needs putting where it belongs - back in the laps of the scum who feed off society, and it won't happen unless they are locked up for repeat offending.
Oh, sorry, I forgot. John Reid is going to sort out the Home office. Wake me up when the govt get a grip would you?

so wot...people are expected to carry there car seats, mirrors, wipers etc everywhere with them then... if someone steals them from a car how can it be the owners fault...just because there on display, you cant be expected to dismantle a car when ever you want to leave it. Id understand if it were a CD player or something that had been left on the seat...but not a child seat, u can't hide it away can u
