How much council tax should you expect to pay on a studio apartment in Sheffield, and is it ever included with the rent?

We don't have anything like it in Aust. water and council rates are always paid by the landlord.

The council tax would in my opinion need to be paid by the tenant, who if for example was a student would not need to pay.

If the tax was to be paid by the landlord he would need to recover the costs in his rent charge. So it's as broad as it's long.

i imagine the rent would be classed as band a, the lowest bracket. if you move into the apartment on your own, you will be eligible for a single persons discount.

you can in 2 ways:

1) every month for 12 months by direct debit
2) every month for 10 months (but you will pay a bit more per month)

normally, i think the council tax is the tenants responsibility and there are fines if you dont pay it- jeez, we send pensioners to prison for not paying it!!!

i currently pay approx £70 per month by direct debit on a band a property that i occupy on my own to give you some idea of the price.

if you want any further info, this link to the council should help:
