This has been a highly inauspicious Christmas and start to the New Year for Barnsley. Defeats against Sheffield Wednesday and Wolves, coupled with Hull beating Burnley and surprisingly Sheffield Wednesday at Hillsborough, have now dumped Barnsley into the bottom three. Likewise QPR beating Colchester and Leeds beating Coventry hasn't helped the Tykes. So are Barnsley heading back to Division One and perhaps swapping places with Doncaster Rovers and Scunthorpe?

It will be difficult but if they can put another good rub together over the next 4 or 5 games that should give then a chance.

Who are they going to 'rub'?

Personally, I think Barnsley are for the chop.
