Tim Henman has reached the semi-final of the US open. This year he also reached the Wimbledon quarter finals and the semi final of the French open. Congratulations to Tim, I say. Despite all the mocking people do because he hasn't won Wimbledon, he is still a top player and the best GB has had and will have for a long time.

As you may be aware I do not agree. However, I will give props should he manage to win a grand slam tournament such as this. He has had some good fortune already against Nicolas Kiefer when the game was very much in the balance until his opponent withdrew due to injury.

He is the best in Britain but British tennis is terrible. I watched a programme on Russian tennis and how they had very poor facilities compared to ours but somehow were managing to churn out top class tennis players who were far more successful than British players.

He was a break up in the final set. I'd give him the benefit of the doubt and say he was well on course to win the match anyway, and besides, Henman himself has played the tournament with a lower back injury.

Going by his history and inability to hold his nerve when the going gets tough I would have had my doubts.

Kiefer has had a history of wrist problems which has forced him to retire from matches before.

Good luck Tim against Federer. I predict a 3 sets to 1 victory for Federer unfortunately though, but fingers crossed anyway.

Henman has a decent record against Federer although Federer is currently riding high.

Straight sets against Tim, oh well he did better than when he was in the Olympics.

Roger and out.

His nerve just never seems to prevail in the crucial stages. He has shown time and time again that his bottle is suspect, he's afraid of winning.

I maintain that he is average because although his skills are decent he lacks the killer punch, the spark of a genius is unfortunately absent.
