try the NHS direct website - should have alist of NHS dentists and should show those taking patients

try lentons on beech hill rd (by hallamshire) they took me on earlier in the year

Try Porterbrook as I managed to get in with them earlier this year as an NHS patient. I'm sure I heard one of the receptionist on the phone to a new patient when I was last there saying they have a waiting list but hope to be able to contact people shortly.

petrie tucker ( the one on the road off the bottom of barnsley road ( just near northern general )was tking new patients 3 weeks ago

I'm a Dental Nurse in an NHS practice in Rotherham. In this area there's maybe one surgery taking new patients on. We started a waiting list in March and still haven't taken any patients on it.

The new contract the goverment brought in in April hasn't made it easier on it as they said it would i'm afraid.

park dental care at ecclesfield are very good. they take n.h.s patients so its worth a try.

i tried these earlier this yr when my kids nhs dentist left, but like others was only taking on paying patients regardless off age phoning nhs direct is best bet they can tell you of ones close to your area if there is any.

type "NHS in England" into your web browser.
click on "Dentists"
then on "local search"
Put in your post code and it will give you lots of dentists in your area in order of nearness and also whether they are taking new patients.
