Hallam FM Arena - What's the best way to try and meet the acts?

I'm going to see Status Quo on Wednesday (6th Dec) at the arena, i'm dead excited as i grew up listening to them having an ageing rocker of a dad. I've bought my dad a couple of the early Quo albums as a christmas present and would love to them signed for him just to make it extra special and after the gig seems a perfect oppurtunity.

So have you met anyone after a gig at the arena? Where's the best place to wait?

I find on the bands tour bus is the best place to be!

There usually is an hospitality tent type thing towards the rear left of the stage where the band and otherr guests meet up after the gig. Unfortunately, the place is guarded and without a pass you wont get anywhere near it. Likewise with the tour bus, this will be parked in a fenced off area at the rear of the venue and too is guarded to an extent, but you might be able to get through

I would recommend you get in touch the venue management and put this request through to them and/or contact the Quo's management team and see if something can be arranged that way. I'm sure they would sign something, maybe not on the night, but it's better than nothing I suppose.

One of my friends always leaves straight after and goes and waits at The Hilton Hotel, thats where they noarmaly stay, she waits at the gate and she always gets to meet them!

wait at the back of the arena after the gig might be an hour to wait or get there earlier and see if you can meet them or get someone there with to get the albums signed?

The back of the arena looks to have a big fence round it, we had a look the other night when we went to collect our tickets.

a lot of celebs also stay at st paul's (tom jones, will young, razorlight), or even the marriott (thast where cliff richard has just stayed), so i wouldnt hold out your hopes for the hilton......

i do stewarding there hence my earlier post trying offer my advice. wont be able to get anywhere near the group, if im working, otherwise i would help you.
