If you want to try something a little different for your work xmas party, why not come to Takapuna on a Wednesday night for a night of stand up comedy? For nearly 3 years, the Caper Club has been operating in the upstairs bar (or loft) of Takapuna on Wednesday evenings, the past 15 months being a weekly event. If you just call the venue on 0114 2729661, you can add your name to the paying guest list and get in for just £5. All events are compered by Anthony J Brown and feature a new act to the circuit as well as the 2 acts from the UK comedy circuit.

Coming soon:

29th November: Andrew O'Neill & Dave Longley
6th December: Die Clatterschenkenfietermaus & Phil James & Stanley Knife
13th December: Richard Herring & Barry Dodds & Joseph Wilson
20th December: Robin Ince TBC & Matt Reed

Robin Ince cannot now make it on December 20th. The headline act will now be Charlie Chuck. Expect absurdities and complete surrealism from the man who Vic and Bob brought to the spotlight as the crazy Uncle Peter in Bang Bang and Vic Reeves Big Night Out.
