Open Mic sessions in pubs

Does anyone know if the Sheaf Pub on (or near) Archer Road still does a Sunday open mic session? Is it every week or when is the next one?

Anyone know of other pubs that do this in Sheffield as our band want to try out some numbers.

My mate has just taken over that pub! We were in there on Sunday and there wasn't an open mic night. Not aware of any either, sorry i cant help you.

the notty (nottingham Arms) at broomhill have an open mic night on fridays or they did a few weeks back good pub too btw

The Broadfield have them on Sundays and The Vine on Mondays

There is an open mic night at the Black Bull at Aston-cum-Aughton on tuesdays.

They also have bands on a sunday night. We played there tonight and it was a great atmosphere... really enjoyed it!

Wilmawhyman.... I can't reply to your PM cos I don't have a high enough post count yet :S

However I can say that standard rock covers go down fine at the Black Bull and we had no problems with the audience. It was our first gig in our current incarnation and we weren't at our best but still got a good reception and a few calls for more.

The Malin Bridge Inn have an open mic on Wednesday nights (or is it Tuesdays) and also a Sunday afternoon session 4 -7.30pm.

sanctuary next to the cathedral's open mic night is on a thursday, free drink for every performer too!!!

come down and check it out

also, if your in a band come and showcase some of your stuff and we may well put you on to play on a sat night if your any good!!
