Just had a flyer through the door, asking people to look out for Tiger. Poor lad's a 10 year-old dark tabby cat with white chest and chin. He's a neutered male and not used to his new environment of Woodseats Linburn/Bromwich/Mitchell Road area.

Anyway, little Tiger wandered away from home today and his owners are leafletting the area. So if you see him call 0114 262 1249 or 07721 532984 and they'll be purrfectly happy to hear from you.

Unless he's been squashed on the Chessie Road, that is.

In hope, let us be inspired by the sage words of the great Spike Milligan:

Tiger, Tiger, burning bright
Look out, you'll set the jungle alight.

once my black cat went missing for weeks.
then a lady responded to my ad in shop as she'd found a black cat.
i went to look and thought it was her and she must ave lost a lot of weight -all these weeks.
i took her home, she responded to her name.
but something wasnt quite right.

my original black cat was use to my dog they use to sniff each other.
but this one hissed at my dog or ran away from her.

then the very next day there was some loud meeowing at my door, when i opened it there she was ,just ran in as though she'd never been away.
so i finished up with 2 black cats.

the next day though the cat that wasnt mine ran away.

also if you put a reward on the notice -kids come from miles around turning up at your door with all number of cats .
eventually one will be yours.

this happened to me yrs ago .

I spoke to the lady the morning the cat went missing as I live near Bromwich Road and saw her and her parents looking for the cat. They had been taking it to the vets on Abbey lane and it had run off into the garden of the Abbey pub opposite. She was extremely concerned as the cat is apparently quite old and slow and lives on a farm so is not at all used to the busy roads around Woodseats. Couldnt stop thinking about or looking for the cat for the next couple of days, but as yet there has been no sign. Must say that the thought had crossed my mind that it had met an untimely fate on Chessie Road so fingers crossed for poor puss.

i lost my siamese cat a few years ago put 100s of flyers through doors and searched everywhere. 2 weeks later a meowing at the door woke us up and it was our cat. They are clever things and it might just walk home

Years ago when we lived on Brocco Bank we had a lovely cat, she disappeared overnight ... we looked everywhere ... then one morning about three weeks later I heard miaowing outside, opened the window and there she was ... but she wouldn't jump in as usual.

She was really thin and bedraggled with a half healed broken front leg ... maybe she'd been in an accident and then locked in a garage/shed somewhere during people being away on holiday or something .. who can tell? She made a slow but full recovery after veterinary attention.

Hope the missing cat turns up at home eventually safe and well, don't give up hope.
