Infact I would say this postbox is as much use as a chocolate fireguard.
You can't get anything in it.
It was damaged by vandals with fireworks last year and this clamp has been on since last year with no future plans to take it off.
You can take it into the nearby postoffice but even they complain about it.
What use is a postbox that you can't post into.

There is one outside the Coop on Birley Moor rd that has had a plate on (but not nearly as nice as that one) for the last 3 years or so.....

I thought the temporary restriction plate had been placed since the new postal size regulations to prevent people posting larger envelopes with the wrong postage on.

I hope they havent messed about with the post box here. Im sending some toys n stuff to my daughter in Wisewood tomorrow and Im going to have a hell of a job ramming the padded envelope through a little slit like that.

Our postbox was blocked up for months and this week it's gone. No more postbox at the top of my street and it's a pain in the ****ing ass posting anything now.

But then again see it from Royal Mails point of view, they can't have little s**ts destroying our mail and have a duty to protect it.
