We've got rid of Sky TV so I can't watch it at home. Does anyone know any pubs that'll be showing Celtic-Rangers? Kicks off at at 12.30 but there's Liverpool v Spurs on at the same time so I'm guessing most pubs will show that instead. Plus its on Setanta Sports and I've not come across any pubs that have that..

Anyone know of anywhere showing it? Ta.

You're on about the Dog and Partridge, which is down the road from the Grapes. As I asked the OP, who do you follow? Walking into the D&P in full Orange Order regalia and with Union Flags everywhere is likely to cause offence. Don't forget the emotions in Old Firm matches run very high indeed.

Rangers fans may as well stay home, as they'll get beat anyway

Happyhippy I'm a Rangers man but more than happy to pretend otherwise for the day if the Dog & Partridge are showing the game. We probably will get beat anyway. I'll get their number from the Yellow Pages and ring them on the morning of the game.

You are not a true Gers supporter if you are prepared to do that and have that attitude about the result Didn't you see that Liverpool supporter sitting in a crowd of Everton supporters on Match of the Day last week? That's loyalty. Can't figure why Rugby fans can mix in with each other and football supporters can't.
By the way I once walked to the train station from Parkhead wearing my Rangers colours after Rangers won and encountered no bother.

'Cause there's plenty of violence on the pitch in Rugby

Doesn't matter which side you support; if you follow Celtic or Rangers you're a bigot.

Why would I be jesting. Are you not aware of the historical reasons for the formation of the two clubs and their connections with their Irish cousins?

Yes i am...

"Celtic Football Club was formally constituted at a meeting in St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church hall on East Rose Street (now Forbes Street), Calton, Glasgow, by an Irish Marist monk named Brother Walfrid original from County Sligo on 6 November 1887.

The charity established by Brother Walfrid was named The Poor Children's Dinner Table. Walfrid's move to establish the club as a means of fund raising was largely inspired by the example of Hibernian F.C. who were formed out of the immigrant Irish population a few years earlier in Edinburgh.

On 28 May 1888, Celtic played their first official match against Rangers and won 5-2 in what was described as a "friendly encounter". Celtic had 8 'guest' players from Hibernian playing that day"

But the year is 2006 - most people try to not associate with the whole Billy and Tim, Hun type of thing. I like Celtic because as a girl my dad took me to watch them, i grew up with them, im not catholic and have never hated a rangers fan because of the team they support... so please, don't call me a bigot!!!!

You're a braver man than I! To be fair though most of the trouble is in the towns and city the night of the match, I don't think you get much bother at the matches. I hear Hearts-Hibs is pretty bad, can't say I've ever been though.

They say "Ignorance is bliss". In your case I say "Ignorance is no excuse for contempt". I believe you owe Sarah 1982 an apology.
