The Limitation Act 1980 caps contractual liability at six years.

So what??

You can successfully claim PPI Compensation going back more than six years.

The banks have no obligation to keep their records longer than six years, so you will need your own records for proof, but it can be done.

The six years begins from the cause of action, and that's not always the date of the contract in this type of case.

No: from the first actionable breach of contract, the earliest point at which the claimant could have sued the defendant.
