i've just been in the cinema at meadowhall, and about half way through the film, there was a huge bang - it sounded like an explosion or something. Anybody any idea what it was?

Yes it was the thunderstorm, i also wonder what it was at the time so glad someone els hear it too, it sounded just like a big explosion, and i thought my tv arial had got the lighting again as that was the sound i had back in 2002 when my tv blew up with the other big storm we had, or thought my front door had been blow off it was that loud.

It was a lovely purple from our direction, was it a freak storm or what, it's not been too hot?

The odd thing was, we were driving from Doncaster, and Sheffield's sky was lighting up red, then the rain started after we got home, and that's when the electric blue lightning kicked in

Brude hid under Mr Strix's legs
