My fridge has gone on the blink! the light still comes on and when i open it it makes a long hissing noise but it doesn't cool anything any more.
Can someone tell me whats wrong with it or someone who can fix it for me not too expensively?

Cheers Owd. What the heck is regassing? . . and is it expensive? The weird thing is, the freezer below it works fine!?

Re-gassing is recharging the coolant circuit with refrigerant gas. It's more expensive than it used to be because for older fridges the gas has to be bled off and stored rather than released in to the atmospehere, as the older refrigerants were greenhouse gases (Freons, etc.)
Gradual leakage of the gas would cause a gradual degradation in efficiency, rather than a sudden failuer. Do the pipes / grill on the back still get warm?
Check that the thermostat is working as well.
Reason why the freezer part might work is that the cooling systems can be isolated form each other.

Warsop?
Wow! I've not been back there for a while....
I can't say that I miss it, though I used to get a little something stirring inside when I drove towards Warsop down the A60(?) from Worksop, and saw the place spread out below me.

If the compressors gone you need a new fridge.
