For those readers who remember, I set an October deadline for a new business I intend going into. Everything’s gone well. Everything in place, including design and print of colour brochure (that was the easy part) BUT .... a change of plan puts its start to sometime in January 2007. I’ve found a shop that needs to be refurbished — and believe it or not the fairy’s hit me with her good luck stick!
This particular shop is slap bang in the middle of five ‘specialist’ shops which currently attract a host of ladies with big cars and fat purses! And all those ladies park on a service road which runs across my frontage!
So, change of plan and sell from shop — the only one for miles selling my particular line. Counter ordered, show cases ordered, stands being made, till ordered etc. It’s a turn of fortune I didn’t expect, and it’s costing more money but I’m still convinced it will succeed.
Found out recently that there’s a shop in Sheffield selling what I intend to sell, and my ‘observers’ tell me it’s doing a bomb!
