Carry on Screaming, or Abbott & Costello Meet the Werewolf, or the Matrix.

At Christmas time it has to be the Muppet's Christmas Carol.

Oh and Corpse Bride and the Nightmare before Christmas...

Is that too many?

Of all time? Difficult one.

It might have to be 'Brief Encounter'.

Great movie, the more you watch, the funnier it gets. My number 1 is Shane, followed by Rebecca and The Italian Job. Brief Encounter is as tragedy minus the guts. But I know exactly what you mean.

'Brief Encounter' is almost the ultimate tragedy. To sacrifice love for conventionality.

Think mine would have to be either Dangerous Liaisons, or the Princess Bride.

'Almost' is the ultimate word. She sacrificed nothing. A good kick in the nuts and a ticket to Oxford should have resolved the problem. Who, in God's name, would have wanted children like those??

It was 1945. All the upper middle classes had children like that.

She sacrificed her love for the good doctor for her dull husband and insipid family in the name of social mores.
