Sorry, too tempting not to start one.

Have you ever met a male in your life who says the following:
"Cheer up love"
"Smile a lot more and *be* more approachable, and friendly."
(You're telling me how to *be* me ?? What ?)
"You need a sxxg." (What ??)
"Gawd, you're a sour-puss, I feel sorry for the guy who married ya!" (Unwarranted insults ?)
"You should dress better, go out, enjoy yourself."
(I like what I'm wearing ! Are you suggesting u want to see more flesh??)
"Go and get laid." (Yes, nice chatting to you too.)
"Why aren't you dating ? You should date. There's something wrong with you." (You can turn on your emotions like water from a tap ? Wow, I admire you.)

Last but not least, my favourite one...

"God, you're another feminist !"
(Erm... just because I won't date you, or scan every guy as a potential, does not mean I don't date. Forever!)

(Bago goes hiding in the bunker in her back garden.)

LOL That's the standard reply to a woman who expresses her opinion on some contentious, gender-related issue. It usually indicates that the bloke can't be bothered/is too dim to come up with a more considered response.

They think it's an insult too .

Never heard any blokes talk like that.

But I did get barred from the KFC in Broomhill for calling the sour-faced owner a lesbo. (I think they'd run out of keel at 11.45pm on a Saturday night.)

Funnily enough, the placed closed not long after (well, okay, ten years later).

I was quite surprised. I thought she'd take is as a compliment. I know if I looked like she did, I'd be delighted to be called a dyke. (At least I'd know I've got a chance with someone, and not just a piece of cold, greasy - and let's not forget overpriced - chicken.)

We are only miserable cos we have to put up with the bloody miserable sour faced women.

Reminds me of the old joke

Why do men die before their wives ?
Because they want to.

My girlie friends would never say such things like, "Go and get laid." Do they mean a random person ? What's that gonna achieve ? It isn't half left for open interpretation.

I wouldn't go *that* far. It just doesn't make you half think that the person replying is not talking in context, and is just going off on a random rant.

Oh, more classics:
"Write shorter posts." (Sorry to use a lot of small words instead of many big ones.)
"Stop being confrontational."
(Even though I'm trying to explain and smooth things over by mutual understanding ?)
"Gaawwd, you can't take a joke."
(Jokes are meant to be funny. Wrong time to interject. Sorry if I'm too thick for you. I shall pretend laugh next time.)
"Just don't think!" (Sor-ry for being caring, and worry! >.< !)

Oh...di-dums.

I also heard the other joke as well.
"Men are like fine wine. You need to stomp them and leave them to mature." (Before you can take them out for a nice dinner. - And not worry that they would kick off.)

When I get into an argument with my other half, and voice my opinion I always get told.....It must be the time of the month. Whats all that about then, and whats his excuse?

lol... No, I didn't say that they're all men in MY life. This is just a parody thread from another thread on this section of the forum.

One or two comments are things I've read here online, but seriously one or two other comments, came from people I've encountered socially.

The most charming comment I've had was from a complete stranger on the other side of the street who felt inspired to shout "FAT C***".

A comment that made me mad which I had a few times when I worked in a bar was - as I was wiping down the surfaces or washing glasses - "One day you'll make a lovely wife." It was the fact that they genuinely meant it as a compliment that got steam coming out of my ears.
