Do any of you know of the Chancet Wood respite facility? Is it still there? Do you/Did you ever have kids who went there?
My son, Richard used to love going there for nights and sometimes whole weekends, it was a wonderful place run by some wonderful people. Its been five years now since my son last went there, and sadly Ive forgotten the names of the people who worked there. But I remember, through the haze of misery, all of them visiting my sons bedside in the intensive care unit of the Childrens Hospital.
Anyone know of the place?

yes the children we now do respite for went there but now are to old , fantastic place and good for the kids

Yes, still there.

yes its still up and running i work with children whome have special needs and a few go for resbite.The staff seem very nice people.

I used to work there back in 2000-2001 as an RSW and am still in contact with my of the staff and children, i loved Chancet Wood it was a wonderful place to work and miss it alot....

Im not exactly sure where it is, I never had the pleasure of visiting it, but my son loved it there.
