You're looking at about an hour's walk.

Get the 97 bus at the bottom of the Moor instead.

The 97 will get you there, but there was a free bus that used to run up to Tescos.

There's also the park and ride bus (not free) which goes to Tescos from outside the university on western bank/brook hill, via the scenic route.
