Yay! Congratulations! It feels great, doesn't it, to see the stitches turn into rows, and the rows grow into a little piece of knitting? . I look forward to seeing photos of your first couple of scarves! We'll soon have you knitting socks .

Geeesh, thanks guys! I shall be continuing today practising before I start something with the nice wool I bought! However, one of my naughty kitties got to one ball before I did and it's now in one big knot! Bad kittie!

Well done on getting going Noodle- I was lucky enough to bo taught how to knit before I even started school so I can't remember not knowing how to knit.

Keep going with it- it will be second nature soon.

Good Stuff Noodle, my gran taught me to knit and then I didn't do any for ages til my mother in law "re taught" me about 3 years ago, I don't tend to knit clothes, more toys etc

My cats tend to leave the yarn alone (or maybe they just haven't found where I keep it yet). Some of my bamboo needles have the odd fang mark impressed into them though...
