What is your recurring nightmare ? I over the years often have a nightmare of being in a strange or fareaway place barefoot, and have to walk home or get a bus. I dont know why but it feels really scary and I often wake up scared, and I have these quite often, I am fully clothed apart from being barefoot (no trainers an socks in the middle of town!) Also another one I have although not as often as the basefoot one is being on the top run of a ladder, and the ladder falls backwards ontop of me, its scary and I always seem to wake up once hitting the ground.

Does anyone else have a recurring nightmare and wonder if anyone else has the same ??

I used to have the falling one, where I was on a large building and I fell off and all the way down I could see the floor getting closer and closer.

I've not had it for ages though now.

Last time I had it, I remember thinking this is just a dream- and I remember flying away before I hit the ground.. which was nice

Im just doing something normal and everyday and Im chewing gum and I try to spit it out and it wont pass my lips so I try to grab it and pull it out.
The string of gum is stuck to the roof of my mouth and wont move and even though Im pulling tons of it out of my mouth the lump thats stuck starts to grow, so I have to pull faster and faster to try to stop the gum from completely filling my mouth and choking me.
It feels so damn real and I wake in a cold sweat with that at least once a month.

I used to always have one as a kid, not quite the same everytime but more or less.
I'd be walking through a subway (it'd be different ones in each dream) and someone would come in behind me and stab me.
I can't walk through subways now at night. Even in the day I freak out about them. I've gotten all scared now just writing this!

I used to have a recurring nightmare about fighting a dragon. It really is terrifying if I'm honest. Basically the dragon chases people and me I know, killing them until it’s just it and me. I then always somehow manage to think I've killed it before it springs back to life and a fireball comes straight at me. That’s the point when I always wake up.

Not had it for about 8 months now, never dared get it analysed, sounds a bit too freaky, not sure I want to know what’s "actually" happening in my head while all this is going off!

Mine are just the usual; teeth falling out, hair falling out and drowning. Not all at the same time though.

I used to have one where I'm walking through the estate where I used to live, with my friends (who aren't my real life friends, but it's a dream, right?), and we're all about 17/18 (bearing in mind I used to have this dream from when i was about 6 to when i was about 11, sometimes even now (I'm 16)), and we walk out of the estate onto an overgrown path, i look behind me and one of my friends skeletons is half buried in the ground, i look in front of me again and one's being dragged into the bushes on the left, terrified look on his face, and the last one is being carried off by flying things, bats I think.
And then I woke up and it was all a dream..

I haven't seen my recurring nightmare for a few years or so, but I had this one so many times i can't count em all...

My parents used to have a caravan on east coast - a bit in the middle of nowhere really (this is true and also in the dream), anyway - there were these men going round all the caravans saying someone had to be murdered from each caravan - my Dad couldn't be the one as he earns the money, Mum couldn't as she looks after us, my elder sister wasnt there, the other wouldn't be selected as she was the oldest there, my brother wouldn't as he was the youngest - so looks like its me...

'they' would shoot you in the back, put a knife through your hand and put you on an orange tea tray in Debenhams (pretty similar to the one on the moor) I'd be at the top of an 'atrium' looking down at myself on said tray...

I hated that dream soooo much!! sooo glad its left me - there are others generally involving me ending up croaking it...i always see myself in such dreams though, lying in a heap !!
