HELP,advice on getting my car back!

The Police have taken,my car away, saying its been,used in a crime,( drive off with out paying for petrol £70.00).My car is on finince. Do they have the power to do this?? .Any helpfull advice ,PLZ..!!!!!

Somebody could have copied your number plates

My grandad had his number plates stolen and they were used in a forecourt drive off
ask to see the cctv video

I guess they should have given the option of paying the 70£ in the first instance if u have the filled the tank and left having forgotten to make the payment.

Surely all you have to do is to demonstrate that it wasn't your car? If you can do that they will return the car with an apology. If you get charged you've got more to worry about than getting the car back.

I think you hit the nail on the head! There must some vital piece of information missing in this story otherwise why would the police suspect wozzas vehicle?

So the police just came along and took away your car because another Ford was used in a theft?


This is a mighty strange first thread. You sure you don't have a set of false plates somewhere? Or do you park your car under a stone bridge?

Did you recieve any paper work before the car was taken, ie a summons or a fine in the post?

Was it the Police that took the car or a baliff company?

I think your not telling us the whole truth???
