Im definately not fed up with the World Cup mate, In fact it's just starting to get to the tasty part!..........
But I wont knock ya because it's each to their own at the end of the day.....Remember though it aint on every day no more so you do get breaks in between matches.......and theres not much longer to go so.....just bite your tongue and get on with it!
COME ON ENGLAND!

You are not alone, I would not mind if they just played & got on with it - but its rammed down our throats at every verse end!

No but fed up of the Italians, Portuguese and Terry Henry diving about like they have been shot anytime someone comes within 2 feet of 'em.
Always thought of Henry as a decent player, lost all respect for him yesterday.

Certainly not,
there are hundreds of people who are sick to the back teeth of it.
We get football pushed down our throats 12 months every year these days, and if like me you try your best to avoid it, then all you ever see is the drinking and bad behaviour which goes hand in hand with it.
It is overhyped, overegged, overlong, and overboring.

Its not though- its the most popular sport in the world- more people watched englands last match on tv than watched diana's funeral so i wouldn't say it was being rammed down your throats, the major broadcasters are just showing what the people what to watch!!!
There are plenty of other channels to watch, just turn over.

If you don't like football:
Don't read the threads about football on Sheffield Forum
Change the channel if football is on tv
Don't go in football pubs
It's really simple.

If you don't like it, don't watch it / read about it.
I personally can't stand big brother (which probably has just as much air time as football does at the moment). So I ignore it.
I'm enjoying the world cup and loving the football. So are loads of others.
If others are enjoying big brother, then great. Live and let live.

Lady Diana's funeral and a football match, are you taking medication???
All I am saying is, just have a dedicated channel on Sky and show it 24-hrs a day if you want.

I'm sorry love but you are missing the point,
I don't watch it or read about it,
Ancient Gypo I would love to go into a pub that isn't a football pub,
BUT IT IS RAMMED SO FAR DOWN ALL OF OUR THROATS THAT EVERY BLOOMING PUB HAS TV ON IN EVERY ROOM AND ALL THE STAFF WEARING TACKY ENGLAND SHIRTS. EVEN SOBER AND SENSIBLE RADIO STATIONS INSIST ON REPORTING THE FOOTBALL SCORES TO LISTENERS WHO ARE NOT INTERESTED BECAUSE IF THEY WERE THEY WOULD BE WATCHING IT ON THE TV or following the game on one of several football radio stations.
Do you people understand, we are not allowed to ignore this football competition. Next year there will be qualifiers for the Euro 2008 and we will not be allowed to ignore that, etc..
It is every single year. Give us a break from it.

no mate- i can assure you that more people watched the england vs paraguay than watched diana's funeral- that was official viewing figures.
And you say 'we' have a dedicated football channel on sky- well i don't have sky and i can't afford to pay for it- so what do i do if its on sky?
It needs to be on free national tv im afraid.

A channel showing Diana's funeral 24 hrs a day?
That's appealing to quite a narrow audience don't you think?
