Good riddance. Griffith was a dreadful ham and a pro-IRA traitor. Balls to him.

Griffith once described Irishmen who would not join the ranks of the IRA as 'dirt'. The word should be carved in big letters on his headstone.

I am perfectly happy, Meaks. I just think that Griffith's nasty pro-IRA views deserve wider coverage. The obituary simply mentions a documentary on Michael Collins and merely hints at Griffith's reasonably well-known pro-IRA and anti-English views. For most people, he is the man who played the batty uncle in 'Four Weddings and a Funeral' [or whatever it is called]. His thoroughly unpleasant and undemocratic political views seem to have been somehow overlooked in recent times.
