my grandparents live in bournemouth. it wasn't peacocks they found in their garden...they found a deer grazing by the bird table one morning.
of course, we assumed they'd gone nuts.

I live in Wisewood too, we had them in our Garden on Monday night. They flew all the way down towards the Methodist Church. My dad took some pictures. One of the neighbours trapped them in a greenhouse and called the RSPCA to come and pick them up though so not sure why they'd be on the loose around wisewood again. I'll pop down and see what happened and let you know.

It was just on Monday night. One of my neighbours tried ringing the RSPCA but no one answered the phone. They then tried all sorts of places to ask advice on what to do but either no one knew or they didn't answer. I wasn't there for any of this though, only found out about it when I got home from the gym and the peacocks had gone down the back of the church by then so I couldn't see them. I've seen the rubbish pictures that my dad took though .
Just found out that the RSPCA refused to come out saying that they would have to make their own way home so my neighbour released them first thing Tuesday morning.

I've got some pics that my Dad took on Monday night. They aren't great but at least you will be able to see if they are the same birds roughy101? The pictures are at:

Picture 2

Picture 4
Email me your pics (PM me your address if you want) and I'll add them up too.

There was a peacock on my next door neighbour's roof last year and then it reappeared several times in the street. It used to come quite often and just wander around people's gardens. No idea where it came from but it's not been around recently. Maybe it moved to Wisewood...?

If anyone manages to catch them and wants them to go to a good home, pm me. We have two already and can take care of them.

They sometimes Honk like a car horn; which is very loud and rather rude at 4.30 am when they want their breakfast!
Tempt them with raisins or grapes, they love them but will eat almost anything.

The 2 peahens were on the roof of a house in Dorothy Road about 5am this morning, hubby heard them screeching and took some photos. Can't download onto pc at present, but they look like the ones in GazE's pics.

At least it wasn't LordChaverley's hippo....just think of the damage it would have caused to the greenhouse.

I almost run over a Peacock a few weeks ago on the Wicker. Couldn't believe what I was seeing when I come around the corner under the arch to see a Peacock wandering in the middle of the road.
