yesterday i went in the co-op at the top of southey green. My son who is 12yrs old came in after me and slipped on the floor, and he said that the floor was wet.
There was a sign there but it was,nt stood up in front of the door it was up against the freezer. The man who was working behind the counter said to the lady infront of us,that there was a sign and i said that it should be infront of the door. But that could have been an old person so if anybody knows what to do lease let me know.

Hope you asked them to put it in the accident book, so if some elderly person gets hurt, there's a record that they've compromised safety of customers before.

Phone Injury Lawyers 4 U, they love this kind of thing and you could get minted from it

I mean yeah it's unfortunate that your son was hurt, and bad show on the Co Op's part for not correctly displaying the sign, but that's the point, the Co Op are at fault, they should be brought to book for it,

Unless your son has an obvious injury where he will miss school or the enjoyment of everyday life there's not a great deal you can do.
However if they haven't already done so go back & insist they put it in their accident book, he may have problems after the fact.
I would also write to the head office explaining what has happened & how they dealt with it, you may get a free voucher at the most.

I work in personal injury claims for a car insurance company. I know a little about el/pl (employee/public liability) or trip and slips, your son has a genuine claim there. Will get compo of between 1000 and 2500 depending on how he goes on at his medical, basically the more you exaggerate in the examination the more brass he will get.

OMG.....
I am not disputing the fact that this poor boy has slipped on a wet floor and injured himself, and the sign has not been displayed properly,I do agree for his mother to file a claim on his behalf for personal injury.

Is this why my public liability has gone up tremendously then, bacause staff working in personal injury claims for insurance companies are advising to exadurate injury to get more money I find this quite unbelievable,I have had to read it twice.
Why advise someone to fake injury.

Do you really think this is acceptable.
I dont.IMHO

I blame the Americans... We seemed to have adopted their "sue the pants off everybody for the slightest little thing" policy...

Totally aggree with you Rich.
The trouble is people who are genuinely injured without faking their injuries never seem to get the claim they deserve, its discusting and this is the reason insurance policies are so high.!!!!

is it legal to give advice like this? sounds like advocation of contempt of court to me.

not that i'd know!

as for the boy, if he were mine i would not pursue a case, but instead teach him how lucky he was not to be really hurt.

blaming others only makes you feel helpless.

filing questionable claims makes you feel questionable!
