Does anyone remember seeing any plans or models of the proposed flyover planned for the top of West St?These plans were shown in Broomhill library in the summer of 1977 but the idea was scrapped due to lack of funds (the council decided to make a complete bo*****s of the city's roads instead.

have you read the Heeley Bypass thread?

There's a couple of others too, I think, that contain maps for the grand plan

Hi Rocklegend,

you would do well to visit Sheffield Roads Portal

Invented by a forummer who is in the know about the history of sheffield's shelved grand road schemes.
While I can't remember readint about this particular feature, I am sure you will be interested to see what it was supposed to connect to.
