I've played at Concord before. I used to play at the University's sports centre, but had to stop when they started refurbishing it. It's now called USport: http://www.usport.co.uk (I'm not sure whether it's available to the public... but worth a look.)
Try this too: http://www.sivltd.com
(That lists all Sheffield's sports and fitness venues I think.)

Hi,
I just moved to Sheffield and want to find some people to play squash with? Any advice on friendly clubs to join? Or is anyone else looking for someone to play squash with?
Cheers,
Mark

I'm thinking of starting up a small league at Concorde sometime later this year as part of my Sports and Social Network www.spinac.com . (Squash is one of those games where if there's any difference in abilities, the points flow all one way so it's best to find a partner of similar ability).
Concorde currently closed for refurbishment ... you should check out Abbeydale and Hallamshire clubs if you're serious about the game ( http://www.hallamts.org/club_location.asp http://www.abbeydalepark.co.uk/)

Goodwin, part of Sheffield Uni but you don't need to be a student to play. The courrts are pretty good too.

Also Halam Uni have squash courts, but they're not as nice and I think you have to be a student.

I like to play but don't know many people who like it. I'd be interested in having a game if you're still looking.

Maybe we could have an evening at Concorde where we suss each other out? I've played in leagues before (never very high up though) and have a friend in High Green who might join us. I was thinking of a Monday, Friday or Sunday evening - what do you think?

Hallamshire tennis club is the best place i know. They have quite a few squash/racketball courts but i think u have to be a member. Abbeydales a good bet, i think they do squash. Hope that helped, hallmshire is my recommendation

I was a High Greener before I moved to Warren still play squash occasionally but partner lives in Loughborough and rarely comes up.
It would be nice to set up with someone for a weekly or twice weekly game. I usually go to Concord and sometimes Barnsly metrodome (when concord was having the face lift) email me if intreasted then i'll give out mobile number and some other details.
cheers for reading
Mark
