Just drove through Barnsley, up from Stairfoot and the drains are spewing water two foot into the air. The A61 down to Stairfoot is like a rainforest. I know its Barnsley, and not Sheffield, but god almighty it WAS really bad.

Our road (Hillsborough) is like a river, I'm glad a) I live on a hill, and b) I don't have to go out in it! Hopefully it won't continue long enough for anyone here to be flooded out.

I heard a cargo plane had lost one of its crates from its hold over Wosborough Dale. They were Japanese car parts heading for Newcastle.
Apparently. its raining Datsun Cogs.

Being outside in this sort of weather is just ridiculous! You'd get soaked in minutes.

I sympathise when anyone who is flooded. It's just a shame we don't learn, yes it's a lot of rain but our drainage system should be able to cope. We already have several flooded roads in the hills area and closed sections of motorway. (Just heard this on Look North)
