The same applies in Nottingham and for what its worth Sheffield.

Because my friend it is one fact out of over a hundred years of history.
At the moment your team is in a higher division nothing else.
If you read my post it said " cherry picking facts "
Now where is my telescope

Who's the biggest club in Sheffield? Well here's a stat for you and it's not about the number of trophys won or the number of fans through the gate. It's about what makes any club - the players.

United have supplied a player to the England team on 98 occasions.
Wednesday have supplied a player to the England team on 256 occasions.

And that's a big difference.

And Hillsborough has been a World Cup ground.

And do only English players play football?
Its history.
A more balanced post would have said how many current international players play for each side at the moment.

You said it. It's history.

It's a club's history that determines its standing in comparison to other clubs.

[QUOTE=CorkerSWFC;8930512]United have had there day my friend well that's my opinion anyway, you had loads of chances to stay in the Premiership when you got in there and failed big time.

Thats correct Corker.
How many chances does a club need to leave their neighbours behind ?
As for the original thread. There are lots of truths in there.
But i wouldnt be a Wednesdayite for anything. United are my club, always will be. End of.
For richer for poorer, in sickness and in health - and all that.

If you recall I have not mentioned size of crowds or the fact that s6 hosted world cup games.
If you are going to use facts to glorify your ground then you should also except a counter that highlights failings.

So current league position doesn't count for anything now like what some people are saying.
Which is it, you can't have it all ways.

This is where the opening thread is flawed.
Wednesday are a division higher nothing more nothing less.
I could say which Sheffield side last had a team in a cup final.
If as suspected a few more young players play first team football for United next season then we could have more internationals in our side so does that make us bigger?

I never said there was any untruths in the op.
I said facts were cherry picked to suit.
