HMRC 'plans to share tax data with private firms'

Given their track record with people's data I wouldn't be surprised if the data was just left on a bus somewhere.

I like this bit:

A HMRC spokesman said: "HMRC would only share data where this would generate clear public benefits, and where there are robust safeguards in place.

 

Just like the DVLA sell off our details to the parking companies so they can generate money.

It's only a matter of time before random people start waking up in baths full of ice missing a kidney and left with a thankyou card from hmrc.
